Electronic Recycling

The Techno Recycling program was created in 2006 to divert the electronic waste that would potentially pollute landfills.  With the expansion of our program, AS Recycling has diverted 4 tons of e-waste this past year alone!

Educational Workshops

The Techno Recycling Program also provides quarterly workshops for both the UCSB campus and the local community.  We can also provide departmental workshops based on requests.

Why Recycle Electronic Waste?

Electronic waste is illegal to discard in your trash bin per Public Law 94-580 or Resource Conservation and Recovery Act.  If electronic waste is not properly disposed of, it releases harmful chemicals and toxins in not only landfills, but in surrounding communities and ecosystems.
